Lehmann Maupin returns to KIAF Art Seoul for the third time with a presentation of new and historical works in a range of media, including painting, sculpture, photography, and works on paper. Highlights at the booth include new paintings by London-based artist Chantal Joffe, following her 2020 exhibition with the gallery in Seoul and in conjunction with her participation in Trauma: Shooting the Pulitzer & 15 minutes at the Daejeon Museum of Art; New York-based artist Tom Friedman, whose debut exhibition in Korea will take place at Lehmann Maupin Seoul in April 2022; and acclaimed Korean artist Lee Bul, whose Perdu paintings were recently exhibited in her major retrospective Lee Bul: Utopia Saved at Manege Central Exhibition Hall, Saint Petersburg, Russia. To coincide with solo exhibitions at Lehmann Maupin’s Seoul and New York locations, the gallery will also present new work by David Salle from his Tree of Life series, as well as works from Gilbert & George’s NEW NORMALPICTURES. The booth will also feature new work by Angel Otero, Lari Pittman, and Alex Prager, alongside signature works by Do Ho Suh, Erwin Wurm, and the Estate of Suh Se Ok.
