Tracey Emin's limited-edition embroidery "Lilac Legs" (2014)
Lehmann Maupin Store
Regarded as one of the world’s most significant contemporary artists, Tracey Emin is internationally recognized for her blunt and revealing style. In this exclusive edition, Emin depicts the splayed legs of a female figure with the head and body removed. The expressive gesture is a signature of Emin’s drawing, painting, and embroidery, and the rich color of this embroidery was intentionally chosen to balance the intensity of the subject matter. Lilac Legs is an edition of 50 and is priced at $1,700 (unframed) / $2,300 (framed).
