Adriana Varejão

Biography

Adriana Varejão was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1964 and continues to live and work there. Her work has also been included in exhibitions at the Guggenheim Museum, the Museum of Modern Art, New York, the Walker Art Center, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the Cartier Foundation for Contemporary Art, Paris. She also participated in the São Paulo Biennial 1998, the Johannesburg Biennial 1995 and the first Liverpool Biennial of Contemporary Art in 1999.
