Lehmann Maupin is pleased to announce the details of its presentation for the 2026 edition of Frieze London, coinciding with the gallery’s 30th anniversary year. Bringing together paintings, sculptures, installations, and photographs, the gallery’s booth (C14) will feature works by artists who have concurrent institutional and gallery exhibitions. The presentation will also spotlight works by the gallery’s London-based artists.

Anchoring this year’s presentation is a large-scale sculpture by Madrid-based artist Teresa Solar Abboud, whose solo exhibition is concurrently on view at Lehmann Maupin’s London gallery. Over the past decade, Solar Abboud has developed a distinct practice rooted in the material properties of clay. Her sculptures and installations hypothesize the hidden forces and beings that form the Underground—the vast expanse of earth which we traverse daily but that remains fundamentally unknowable to us. The sculpture on view titled Self Portrait as Pregnant Woman (2025) delves into the strange dislocation between body and psyche triggered in host bodies during pregnancy. Based on her own experiences, Solar Abboud invites us to rethink ourselves as multiple beings intertwined with others rather than independent, self-contained entities. The presentation follows her recent outdoor installation, Mother Tongue, at the Hayward Gallery in London and her 2025 solo exhibitions at Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Turin, and at Kunstverein Hannover, Germany.
